Stuart Cohen’s career in jewellery
began 17 years ago working for his family’s
highly successful chain - Vivien’s Jewellers. Stuart was the
senior buyer for
the chain of over 30 stores which was a household name. Jenique
was a highly
successful business for 25 years and one of Vivien’s treasured
suppliers.
When the owners retired Stuart purchased the company to fulfill
his
dream of manufacturing...

Today Jenique offers hundreds of
pieces, many of them designed by Stuart.They
range in price from S150 to a few thousand dollars wholesale.
“Our pieces
are not the sort you see in chain stores. The jewellery looks
expensive because of the quality and design, we use heavier
shanks and two or
three piece casting yet they’re very affordable. I love
designing new pieces and
seeing the finished product become a good seller, that’s the
biggest thrill.”
Stuarts retail background means he
has a genuine understanding of retailers
needs and customers wants. He makes sure retailers get what they
need to sell
more products in their stores.
